There are generally two ways to obtain a divorce under the Law Reform (Marriage and
Divorce) Act 1976, and the appropriate approach depends on whether both spouses agree
to end the marriage.

Joint Petition
A joint petition is filed when both spouses consent to the divorce and have reached

Single Petition
